through the eyes of a child,

our orgANIZATION

On June 13, 2017, I faced an incredibly profound and personal loss—the passing of my daughter and dear friend, Madisyn Sears. Tragically, Madisyn passed away that evening, leaving her two young sons, Bentley, age 3, and Masyn, just 5 days old, along with her 7-year-old brother, Marcus, to cope with the heartache of losing their mother and sister.

In the wake of this devastating event, I, Sherri, have committed myself to being my daughter’s voice, alongside our family, friends, and community. This commitment led to the creation of Madisyn’s Movement, which aims to support individuals of all ages who are struggling with mental health challenges, trauma, or substance use disorder. As well as address the recovery and grief of the children left behind.
